Monday Color: Blue

I can never get enough of the color blue. It works beautifully in every room:

Definitely a "when in doubt" color for me. What's yours?

The New Shop!

That's right - Style Key West has moved! Around the corner...to 901 Caroline Street:

In case you were wondering, no - that's not our train.

So it's not a big move. But we're so excited about our new location on a busier block, in closer proximity to our Caroline Street Art & Design District friends!

While there is a lot more work to do  - we're off to a great start. AND now that the move is winding down, we can get back to more posting and updates on the online shop.

California Color

Sorry for going MIA for for so long, but my computer died the night of July Fourth. Meaning that I can't use it (I'm on our tiny netbook right now) and most of my Style Key West picture files are now GONE! Hopefully my computer guru friend can help, but it's not looking promising.

So basically I've been in mourning...and then on vacation!

Here are some shots of beach color from our trip to San Diego last week.

We spent 99.9% of our time at the house, so no town shots - though there are some super cute areas I would love to have explored more...

I'll be back in a day or two with details on the new store location (we're moving over a few blocks to a FABULOUS space and location).

Every Box of Bobble Heads Has a Silver Lining

Mine did!

Yes - the much anticipated bobble heads arrived... And while just as hideous as expected, there weren't all that many of them. So that's good. And of course they were meant for the boys' room - it's not like Chris' mom decorates her own lovely house with bobble heads!

Anyway - she put some other goodies in the box for Eleanor, mostly in the way of junk jewelry. But there was a little something for me as well:

Isn't it gorgeous? It's a vintage candy box - or tin.

I'm madly in love with it and need to look up when it was manufactured. Based on the age of great grandparents, it should be the 40s...or possibly a little older?  How does one go about that? I know people do online searches for this kind of thing. But I'm not sure where to start - Ebay?
